Our Phoenix event lighting installation experts are here to share where you can find the best Fourth of July events in the Valley.
Things To Do in Phoenix AZ on the Fourth of July
- Fabulous Phoenix 4th
For over 30 years, the Fabulous Phoenix 4th has featured one of the largest fireworks displays in the entire southwest. The non-alcoholic, rain-or-shine event attracts over 100,000 spectators to Steele Indian School Park every year.
In addition to the spectacular fireworks show, patrons can enjoy two performances stages, festival-style food and drinks, interactive exhibits, arts and crafts stations, and a classic car display.
There’s also plenty for youngsters to do in the popular Kids’ World, which includes the water spray zone, rides and inflatables, and various other youth activities.

- Tempe Town Lake Festival
The Tempe Town Lake Festival has evolved into one of the most popular Fourth of July spots in the entire Valley. The Family Fun Fest offers a free inflatable village featuring a variety of rock climbing walls and rides for children of all ages.
After you’ve worked up an appetite, you can head to the massive food court, which includes traditional BBQ fare alongside fry bread, roasted corn, snow cones and ice cream. Adults can wash it all down with a libation from the Beverage Gardens.
The highlight of the event is undoubtedly the fireworks show. Launched from the Mill Avenue Bridge, the massive display is choreographed to music from several genres, including pop, patriotic and country.

After you chow down, you can chill out with free carousel rides and access to the zoo’s Stingray Bay. Other entertainment options include special animal encounters, an inflatable bounce house and slide, as well as live music.
The evening’s festivities wrap up with a special viewing of the Tempe Town Lake Fireworks Spectacular from seating in the back of the zoo.
